Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the Reception Barn’s capacity?
We can accommodate up to 180 guests.
How much does it cost to rent The Ohio Barn?
Please see all details concerning wedding packages + pricing HERE!
What are the dates available?
You can view all available date HERE!
Do you require we use certain vendors?
We do not require you to use any of the vendors listed on our website’s Resource Page. You can choose any vendors you want.
What happens if it rains?
Our rain back up plan is to have everyone sit at their tables as they would for the reception. We would set up a small aisle way of chairs down the center of the barn for immediate family, and you would say your vows in front of the balcony, inside the barn.
Do you provide linens?
We do not provide linens. Those would need to be rented elsewhere.
We plan to have our ceremony offsite. Does that change the rental fee?
Because we only host one event per day, our fee structure remains the same whether you hold your ceremony, reception or both onsite.
Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?
We kindly ask that you schedule a tour. You can do so HERE!
Are there any other fees we should know about?
We do require Day of Event Insurance, which can be purchased through any insurance agency. (It usually ranges between $150-200.)
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Sure! We just require a licensed bartender to serve the alcohol you provide.
What is the average budget of a couple getting married at The Ohio Barn?
That is a great question! In general we believe the average budget of a couple getting married at The Ohio Barn is between $18,000-$20,000 (venue, food, dress, photographers, DJ etc.) We have had some creative couples with smaller guest lists host beautiful weddings in the $15,000-$18,000 range, and we have had several lovely events here spending significally more than the average.
How do you handle payments?
Upon signing a contract, we require a $1,000-$1,500 first payment (depending on wedding package). The remainder is split into three additional payments, with the final balance being due 30 days prior to your wedding.
